Battle of Brooklyn

The Battle of Brooklyn, August 27th 1776. Was a British victory, under Sir William Howe, 30,000 British Troops defeated the 11,000 strong American army under General Putnam. The Americans lost 2,000 killed and wounded while the British lost 65 killed and 255 wounded.

BATTLE OF CAPE HENRY  March 16th 1781

Naval battle between the British Royal Navy under Vice Admiral Arbuthnot and the French Navy. The French force was slightly stronger having eight ships of the line and four Frigates compared the the Royal navies eight ships of the line and three frigates. A British navy victory, which saw the French force retire, British losses 30 killed and 64 wounded, French losses unknown.
